I had the luck this weekend of meeting Camille Verboort, curator of the Three-Minute Picture Show, an annual event where amateur filmmakers take a month to put together the best 180 seconds of drama/comedy/action or whatever they’ve got on “film” and then show it off to like-minded individuals at a gala, black-tie event. Think of it as National Novel Writing Month for movie-makers.
Of even more interest to the GeekDad crowd is that this year they’re holding a special event just for movies made by kids. Just sign-up at the website, make your movie through the month of July, submit it, and come join the fun in either San Francisco or Portland in early August.
