Go-Go Kidz Travelmate Lets You Go Go Through the Airport

For most of us, traveling with kids is a challenge. We have to be happy (or at least pretend to be happy) and keep the kids happy while we are loaded down like pack mules carrying all the stuff we need. Traveling with a toddler on an airplane is an extra task because we also need that bulky car seat and stroller. The FAA recommends children under 40 lbs. be seated in a child car seat on an airplane. Plus, we need that car seat at our destination.

But what if we could lessen our burden and combine a stroller with a car seat?

Behold the Go-Go Babyz Travelmate.

You fasten a the system to the back of your car seat, pop on some wheels and transform the car seat into a stroller suitable for getting through the airport. You won’t even notice its 5 pounds of extra weight.

The 5 inch roller blade wheels provide a smooth ride through the airport and the parking garage. The telescopic handle extends from a compact 28″ to 50.5″ for easy handling.

My two-year old loved it during our latest trip. From the parking garage to the security line, she never had to get out of her car seat. Once we landed in Kansas City, she was wheeled in her car seat off the plane, down the jetway, to the baggage claim and right to rental car, without having to get out of her car seat.

She loves being wheeled around in it. There is a nearly continual “whee!” while she is joyfully kicking her legs in the air.

I defied the manufacturer who recommends not leaving the Go-Go Kidz Travelmate attached to the car seat while driving in an automobile. (It has not been tested in combination with a car seat for crash testing.) A car seat using the Go-Go Kidz Travelmate eliminates the need to hand carry, rent or borrow a car seat at your final destination.

Like luggage with wheels, I wonder how I ever managed without the Go-Go Kidz Travelmate. On my recent flight, there were a half dozen of these in use. I think all of the parents looked just a little happier.
