LucasFilm and Reed Exhibitions have unveiled details about next summer’s Star Wars Celebration V. The fan-centered event will take place in Orlando, Florida, at the Orange County Convention Center, from August 12-15, 2010. The focus: The 30th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back. You can expect cast, crew, memorabilia, fan movies, costumes, and more.
Star Wars Celebration V is being produced by the Pop Culture Group at Reed Exhibitions, which might not bear mentioning except that they carry some geek cred: They’re responsible for New York Comic Con, the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo, and the New York Anime Festival, and is also working with Penny Arcade Expo.
Tickets go on sale on December 10, and you can find out all the information you’d ever want at these links:

My favorite part of the website is the Weapons Policy:
If you bring a replica that could maim, damage, or cause serious bodily harm, we’re going to take issue. But if you come to Star Wars Celebration to have a good time, and your authentic-looking Geonosian electrostaff doesn’t actually fry Jedi, we’ll welcome you to the show.
